How Glacio works

Overview

Glacio is a wallet front end for tokenized equities on Robinhood Chain. The app does four on-chain actions: connect a wallet, wrap ETH into WETH, buy NVDA, SPY, AAPL, or USDG with ETH on Uniswap v3, and send ETH or those tokens to another address. Balances shown in the app are balanceOf and native balance reads. There is no preview ledger.

Open the app. A quote appears before you connect, because quoting is an eth_call against QuoterV2. A write waits until the wallet is on chain id 4663 and you confirm the transaction.

Token

The site token is $GLACIO. Its contract address is not written into the page. The chip next to Launch and Connect reads it live. Until an address is published, that chip says soon and copy stays off.

When a CA is set, the chip shows a short form of the checksum address. Clicking the text or the copy icon copies the full address. The same chip sits on the home page, these docs, and the app. An open tab picks up a new address without a reload.

Connect

The connect dialog looks for an injected Ethereum provider:

• Robinhood Wallet, when window.robinhood.ethereum or isRobinhood is set
• Phantom, when window.phantom.ethereum or isPhantom is set
• MetaMask, or any other injected provider that is not Phantom or Robinhood

Connect calls eth_requestAccounts. The chosen wallet id is stored in localStorage under glacio.wallet so a refresh can call eth_accounts again. Disconnect only clears that local flag. It does not revoke the site inside the wallet.

Network

If the wallet is on another chain, writes stay disabled until wallet_switchEthereumChain succeeds. If the chain is missing, the app sends wallet_addEthereumChain with the values above.

Deposit

Deposit wraps native ETH into WETH. The transaction calls deposit() on the WETH contract and attaches the ETH amount as value. WETH is credited to the same wallet. Max leaves 0.0002 ETH behind so the wallet can still pay gas.

• Contract: WETH
• Reverts if: the value is zero, the wallet rejects the prompt, or the account cannot pay gas

Buy

Buy swaps ETH for the asset of the selected market through Uniswap v3 SwapRouter02, function exactInputSingle. The router wraps the attached ETH because tokenIn is WETH. The output token is sent to the connected address.

Before the transaction, the app calls quoteExactInputSingle on QuoterV2. The minimum amount out is 99% of that quote. If the quote call fails, the buy button stays disabled.

• NVDA, SPY, and AAPL use the 0.05% WETH pool
• The ETH market buys USDG on the 0.01% WETH pool
• You pay ETH. You receive the output token. The site does not take a fee

Send

Send moves an asset to an address you type. ETH uses a native transfer. WETH, USDG, NVDA, SPY, and AAPL use transfer(to, amount). The recipient must be a 20-byte hex address. The app does not resolve ENS names.

Withdraw

Withdraw unwraps WETH back to ETH by calling withdraw(amount). It only works for WETH you already hold. It does not sell NVDA, SPY, AAPL, or USDG. To exit those, send them, or trade them on a pool outside this screen.

Markets

Each row is a live Uniswap v3 pool against WETH. The fee tier is the one that currently holds liquidity.

Contracts

These addresses were read from chain id 4663. The router's WETH9() returns the WETH address below.

Fees and slippage

• Uniswap pool fee is 0.01% on USDG and 0.05% on NVDA, AAPL, and SPY
• The buy sets amountOutMinimum to 99% of the quoted output
• A quote can move between the call and the mined transaction. If it moves more than 1%, the swap reverts and you keep the tokens you started with, minus gas
• Glacio does not add a protocol fee on top of the pool fee

Custody

• You hold ETH, WETH, and the output tokens in the wallet that signed
• The site cannot move funds without a new signature
• WETH and the Uniswap router are the contracts that receive the call, not a Glacio vault

Risks

• Price impact. A larger ETH amount moves the pool. Read the quote before you sign
• Token risk. NVDA, AAPL, and SPY here are Robinhood Chain tokens, not brokerage shares in this interface
• Smart-contract risk on WETH, SwapRouter02, and the pool you trade
• A wrong recipient address cannot be reversed by the site
• Gas is paid in ETH even when the swap fails
